4K SUPPORT
The MAG424 IPTV Box is 4K-ready. The only prerequisite is that your TV's screen has high enough resolution. There are over 8 million pixels in a 4K frame, which is four times more than in FullHD (2 million), the most common format nowadays.

HEVC: HIGH VIDEO QUALITY EVEN AT LOW BITRATE
The Infomir MAG424 Set-Top Box supports HEVC technology, which is a powerful codec that can encode and decode data twice as fast as the currently most popular H.264. In contrast to that codec, HEVC does not divide the picture into standard 8×8-pixel blocks but instead, analyzes every single frame to determine the optimal size for each block. This way, compression can be optimized by encoding only essential information. With HEVC, video bitrate can be reliably halved, so that you can watch 4K video without any delays even on slow connections.
FIRMWARE UPDATES
The set-top box can receive both manufacturer and provider firmware updates. These updates improve the stability of the device's operation and add new functionality.
CONNECTIVITY
MAG424 set-top boxes have two USB ports — a 2.0 port and a 3.0 revision port — as well as a MicroSD slot. They can be used to connect a mouse and keyboard to the device or use memory cards. Enjoy the device to the fullest: look at photos directly from memory cards, input text from a keyboard, and simplify navigation with a mouse.
